Emanuel Church Officer Polices: All Church council officer positions are for one-year terms.Persons may serve consecutive years in the same position only if nominated again by the Committee on Nominations and Leadership Development and subsequently elected by Charge Conference vote each year.
The following are exceptions to the one-year term policy: 1) Financial Secretary and Treasurer (3 year terms; these positions should not rotate in the same year), and 2) Lay Member Annual Conference (2 year term normally elected to begin service in even numbered years to coincide with the movement of the Annual Conference meeting location).
