Emanuel is part of a variety of weekly and monthly outreach ministries in the Brunswick and local community as outlined below.

Weekly Outreach

Coffee Ministry is an exciting opportunity to serve coffee, hot chocolate, and donuts to residents of the community as they go to work and school. Many stop not only to get coffee, but to ask for prayers for themselves or others. We have received many blessings from those who are served. Come join us on Monday mornings from 6:00 - 8:00 AM.

Good News Club® is a ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) in which trained volunteers meet with groups of children in schools. The purpose of Good News Club is to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and establish (disciple) them in the Word of God and in a local church for Christian living. Each week, CEF volunteers present an exciting Bible lesson to students who might not otherwise have access to christian-based learning. This action-packed time includes colorful materials, songs, scripture memory verses, a mission’s story and review games or other activities focused on the lesson theme.

Emanuel goes into Sterling Elementary on Tuesdays from 2:30 - 4:00 PM to work with 2nd-4th graders.

The Well is a hospitality center for homeless people in the Brunswick area that provides resources such as a place to shower, a laundry room, telephone, internet access, and a physical address to receive correspondence. By providing this venue, FaithWorks Ministry helps these individuals with opportunities to reconnect with family members, access services to help them leave the streets, and recover from sickness and disease. Many individuals regain employment and restore hope in their lives. Emanuel has a team of volunteers that serves meals on Tuesdays from 3:00 - 5:00 PM.

Monthly Outreach

Kairos Prison Ministry

The mission of the Kairos Prison ministry is to share the transforming love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ to impact the lives of institutionalized individuals. Kairos volunteers work together to develop a Christian community during a 3½ day weekend held inside the institutions. Kairos weekends provide an atmosphere for participants to become Christians and for others, a way to grow spiritually. It also helps them to become loving and productive citizens in their institutional community.

Volunteers prepare for this ministry by meeting monthly for training and fellowship. Afterwards, everyone shares a meal. Emanuel's team serves men housed at Ware State Prison twice a year.

Saturday Servants is a team of members who seek to help people in our community, in need of assistance with various types of home maintenance, repairs, yard work, etc. The group meets on Saturday mornings throughout the year to work together on the assigned projects. Everyone gathers behind the church at 7:15 AM to discuss the plans for the day before departing the church grounds at 7:30 AM
